This site is based upon the exhibition of the same name, which took place at the National Archaeological Museum, Athens in 1995.

The English version uses the texts panels of the exhibition. The French version will use a combination of the text panels and the much richer text of the catalogue.

When the site is complete, all the main pages will have pictures of the exhibited objects, with links to descriptive pages.

At present,only a few pages, such as Women before history, Medea, Atalanta, or Clytaemnestra, have such pictures and links.
